Introduction

T78 is an intelligent externally-controlled LED light source with integrated control and illumination circuits. It shares the same form factor as a standard 5050 LED, with each component functioning as a single pixel. Each pixel integrates an intelligent digital interface with data latching, signal reshaping and amplification drive circuitry, power regulation, built-in constant current circuit, and a high-precision RC oscillator. The output drive employs patented PWM technology to ensure consistent color output across pixels. Communication uses a unipolar return-to-zero encoding protocol. After power-on reset, the DIN pin receives data transmitted from the controller. The first 24 bits of incoming data are captured by the first pixel and loaded into its internal data latch; the remaining data is reshaped and amplified by the internal signal conditioning circuit, then forwarded via the DO pin to the next cascaded pixel. Each pixel in the chain extracts 24 bits as the signal propagates. The LED offers the advantages of low-voltage drive, environmental friendliness, high brightness, wide scattering angle, excellent consistency, ultra-low power consumption, and ultra-long lifespan. Integrating the control circuit directly into the LED simplifies the overall circuit design, reduces board space, and facilitates easier installation.
