Introduction

The HX1316G is a high-voltage input synchronous buck regulator with constant current control. It operates over an input voltage range of 8V to 30V, delivers 4.5A continuous output current, and provides excellent load and line regulation. The switching frequency is programmable from 130kHz to 500kHz, and the synchronous architecture enables high-efficiency designs. Current-mode operation provides fast transient response and simplifies loop compensation. The HX1316G requires a minimal number of common standard external components. Additional features include cable compensation, programmable current limiting, and thermal shutdown. The HX1316G converter is available in an industry-standard SOP8-PP package.
