Introduction

The LSP05 thermally protected surge protection device is a self-protected device designed for transient overvoltage protection in outdoor and commercial LED luminaires. It is built using thermally protected varistor technology. Its built-in thermal cutoff function provides additional protection against catastrophic failure and fire hazard, even under extreme conditions such as end-of-life varistor failure or sustained overvoltage. The device helps customer products comply with IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C Low Level and the U.S. Department of Energy MSSLC Model Specification.
