Introduction

The Linear Actuator Control Board is a standalone closed-loop control board designed specifically for Actuonix actuators. The LAC greatly simplifies design by eliminating the development time, cost, and processor overhead associated with direct motor control. Position control requires only 1 digital or analog output. Supported input signals include USB, voltage, current, RC servo, and PWM. The Actuonix motor control IC uses software-based algorithms to optimize position and speed control. This allows the LAC to be compatible with a wide range of actuators using only default settings. Actuonix's advanced configuration program allows full customization of actuator response. Stall detection significantly extends actuator lifespan for applications that may briefly exceed rated force. The LAC can operate either as an interface board or as a standalone controller by adding an external potentiometer and power supply.
