Introduction

OmniVision's OVM6946 is a compact camera module designed for medical applications such as minimally invasive endoscopy. The 1/18-inch OVM6946 leverages OmniVision's market-proven CameraCubeChip wafer-level module technology to simplify manufacturing and accelerate time-to-market, making it the most cost-effective single-chip imaging solution in the disposable endoscope industry. Based on OmniVision's OmniBSI+ pixel architecture, it captures high-quality video at 400 x 400 resolution at 30 fps. The OVM6946 features a compact 1.10 mm x 1.10 mm package with a z-height of 2.37 or 2.27 mm, supporting a 90° or 120° diagonal field of view. The OVM6946 is well-suited for a broad range of endoscopic applications, including medical, veterinary, and industrial use.
