Introduction

Zilog's passive infrared (PIR) sensors deliver high performance and superior EMI immunity for the most demanding motion detection applications. The ZSFM323511 PIR sensor is a surface-mount device compatible with infrared reflow processes. Designed for use with a PIR lens, it consists of two sensing elements positioned behind a spectral filter window tuned to 8–13 μm wavelengths, helping to block unwanted infrared energy. The 0.6 mm element spacing provides additional white-light immunity. The ZSFM323511 features a standard footprint, making it compatible with clip-on lenses used with standard TO5 package PIR sensors.
