Introduction

The 662K./65K5. series is a high-precision, low-power, high-voltage, positive voltage regulator IC fabricated using CMOS process and laser trimming technology. With very low quiescent current (10μA Typ.), these devices can deliver 300mA output current under minimal input-to-output voltage differential while maintaining excellent regulation. The 662K./65K5. series incorporates a current limiting circuit, a driver transistor, a high-precision voltage reference, and an error correction circuit. The 662K./65K5. series is compatible with low-ESR ceramic capacitors. The return circuit of the current limiter provides short-circuit protection for both the current limiter and the output pin. Through laser trimming technology, the output voltage can be set from 1.5V to 5.0V in 0.1V increments. Due to the minimal dropout voltage and low quiescent current, these devices are particularly suited for battery-powered applications requiring extended battery life, such as computers, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment.
