Introduction

The HT2116A is a high-efficiency synchronous boost converter with ultra-low quiescent current. Designed for a wide range of battery-powered products, it consumes only 1µA quiescent current under light-load conditions — high efficiency at light load is critical for extending battery life. The device achieves up to 80% efficiency at a 20µA load. For 2.2V-to-3.6V conversion, it achieves up to 92% efficiency at a 200mA load; for 4.2V-to-5.1V conversion, it achieves up to 95% efficiency at a 500mA load. A true shutdown function disconnects the output from the input under shutdown and output short-circuit conditions. The HT2116A is available in fixed output voltage versions of 5.1V/3.6V/3.3V/3.0V — ensure the FB pin is left floating and must not be connected to any device. The device also features overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, and output short-circuit protection to ensure safe operation.
