Introduction

XPM52C is a buck converter with an integrated synchronous switch, supporting multiple fast charging protocols including USB Type-C and PD, Qualcomm QC 2.0/3.0/3.0+, Huawei FCP/SCP/HVSCP, VOOC 2.0/4.0, MediaTek PE, Samsung AFC, USB BC1.2 DCP, and Apple 2.4A charging specification. It provides a complete solution for power supply devices such as in-vehicle chargers, various fast charging adapters, and smart power strips. XPM52C features automatic VIN input voltage detection and adjusts the output voltage accordingly. XPM52C integrates built-in power MOSFETs, supports an input operating voltage up to 31V, an output voltage range of 3.3V to 21V, and delivers a maximum output power of 65W. It automatically adjusts the output voltage and current based on the detected fast charging protocol. XPM52C output features CV/CC characteristics: when the output current is below the set value, it operates in CV mode with a constant output voltage; when the output current exceeds the set value, it switches to CC mode with a reduced output voltage. XPM52C output incorporates a cable compensation function, which increases the output voltage as the output current rises to compensate for voltage drop caused by cable impedance. XPM52C specially integrates the patented XPD-LINK interconnect communication technology. Through the XPD-LINK interconnect function, XPM52C can be applied simply and flexibly in multi-port Type-C charging solutions. XPM52C supports secondary programming, enabling online firmware upgrades. XPM52C provides multiple protection features, including input overvoltage/undervoltage protection, output short-circuit/overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection. XPM52C is available in a QFN4x4-16L package.
