Introduction

The LY5908 is an overvoltage and overcurrent protection IC. It features overvoltage protection that rapidly shuts down the output when VCC encounters a hazardous surge voltage, while withstanding input voltages up to 30V, thereby protecting downstream devices from surge damage. In addition, the IC integrates fault protection functions including externally programmable overcurrent protection and over-temperature protection. The LY5908 incorporates NTC over-temperature protection, addressing the lack of temperature monitoring in certain electronic equipment and enhancing operational safety. The LY5908 supports enable/disable control via the EN pin, allowing users to control the operating state independently. The IC is housed in a compact DFN2X2-8L package.
