Introduction

LY5906 is an overvoltage and overcurrent protection IC. It features overvoltage protection that quickly shuts down the output when VCC encounters a hazardous surge voltage, and can withstand input voltages up to 30V, protecting downstream devices from surge damage. The internal default overvoltage protection threshold is 6.1V, and the overvoltage protection voltage can also be set via the FB feedback resistor. In addition, the IC integrates fault protection functions including overcurrent protection and over-temperature protection. The LY5906 can be turned off and on via the enable pin, allowing users to control the operating state of the device. The device is available in a compact SOT23-6 package.
