Introduction
The AW329xx series overvoltage protection (OVP) load switches feature surge protection, with an internal clamp circuit that protects devices from surge voltages up to 120V. The AW329xx features an ultra-low 27mΩ (typical) Rdson nFET load switch. When the input voltage exceeds the OVP threshold, the switch turns off very rapidly to prevent damage to downstream protected devices. The IN pin can withstand fault voltages up to 29VDC. The default OVP thresholds are 5.95V (AW32901), 6.2V (AW32902), 6.8V (AW32905), 9.98V (AW32909), 10.5V (AW32910), and 14V (AW32912); the OVP threshold can be adjusted from 4V to 20V via the external OVLO pin. The device features an open-drain output ACOK, which is pulled low to indicate a good power input when N_UVLO < N < N_OVLO and the switch is on; otherwise it remains in a high-impedance state. The device also incorporates overtemperature protection to prevent damage from excessive temperatures. The AW329xx is available in a RoHS-compliant 1.3mm x 1.8mm FCQFN-12 package.
