Introduction

CA-DV8008 is an I2C-controlled 8-channel low-side driver that enables serial-to-parallel control, significantly reducing the controller's GPIO resource usage and lowering system cost. Each channel supports 500mA sink current capability with output port voltage rating up to 50V. Built-in clamp diodes handle inductive loads, making it suitable for driving stepper motors, DC motors, relays, and solenoids. Supports 400kHz fast I2C bus with 3 address-configurable pins (A2~A0), allowing up to 8 CA-DV8008 devices on the same bus. SCL and SDA pins use CMOS logic levels; the logic-side supply VCC supports a voltage range of 3V~5.5V, allowing direct connection and shared power supply with 3.3V/5V controllers. The device is available in SOIC16-NB and TSSOP16 package options, supporting an operating temperature range of -40°C ~ 125°C.
