Introduction

AW86017 is a single-channel voice coil motor driver IC with an integrated 10-bit DAC. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2.3V to 4.3V. The maximum output current is fully adjustable via register settings, with a default value of 120mA. The device is controlled through an I²C serial interface operating at up to 1MHz. The default device address is 0x18, which can be changed through eNVM configuration. The AW86017 features linear slew rate control mode and VCM ringing control mode, enabling programmable output current waveform configuration to minimize mechanical vibration and achieve fast settling, making it suitable for various types of voice coil motors. The IC includes a power-on reset circuit and a power-down function. The reset circuit ensures proper digital circuit operation during power-up. In power-down mode, supply current consumption is less than 1μA. The AW86017 is suitable for autofocus applications in mobile cameras, digital still cameras, camcorders, and action cameras. The device is available in a WLCSP 0.68mm × 1.08mm × 0.30mm - 6B package.
