Introduction
The 116B is a driver IC specifically designed for small brushed DC motor control. It adopts an H-bridge circuit architecture with built-in P/N MOSFET power switches, supporting four control modes: forward, reverse, brake, and standby. The IC operates over a wide voltage range of 2V to 6.5V. At an ambient temperature of 25°C with VDD = 6V, it can deliver a continuous current of up to 1.2A and a peak current of up to 2A to the motor load. The IC integrates an over-temperature protection circuit: when the junction temperature exceeds 150°C (typical), the internal circuit shuts off the power transistors to stop output current; once the junction temperature drops back to the safe level of 130°C, the IC automatically resumes normal operation, preventing damage due to overheating.
