Introduction

The LY2834E integrates a dual H-bridge driver circuit capable of driving one bipolar stepper motor, two brushed DC motors, or other inductive loads such as solenoids. Each H-bridge driver consists of two half-bridge drivers, each containing a high-side NMOSFET and a low-side NMOSFET. This architecture is widely applicable in mechatronic applications such as toys, printers, and security cameras. The device integrates undervoltage protection, over-temperature protection, overcurrent protection, and short-circuit protection; when any protection is triggered, the H-bridge driver shuts down. The LY2834E is offered in an EMSOP-10L package with an exposed pad. It operates over a supply voltage range of 2V to 15V, delivers up to 1A continuous output current, and supports motor speed control via a simple external PWM interface.
