Introduction

MT7938 is a single-stage, high power factor, primary-side controlled AC-to-DC LED driver IC. It integrates on-chip power factor correction, operating in critical conduction mode to achieve high power factor while reducing switching losses of the power MOSFET. Through innovative control technology, precise LED current regulation is achieved without optocouplers or secondary-side sensing components. The IC incorporates multiple protection features including overcurrent protection, output overvoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, and over-temperature regulation to ensure reliable system operation. Furthermore, the over-temperature regulation threshold can be flexibly configured by connecting an external resistor to the TADJ pin.
