Introduction

MT7853BS is a high power factor, non-isolated LED driver IC that achieves full-cycle sensing through a floating ground, high-side sensing, buck switching power supply architecture. The IC operates in quasi-resonant mode, simultaneously improving efficiency and EMI performance. An integrated high-voltage supply circuit eliminates the need for external startup resistors and supply diodes; a built-in compensation circuit removes the COMP pin and external compensation capacitors; and an integrated THD compensation circuit meets lower total harmonic distortion requirements. The IC incorporates multiple protection features, including OVP, OCP, and over-temperature compensation, all with auto-recovery capability for enhanced system reliability. In addition, an integrated 650V high-voltage MOSFET simplifies the peripheral circuitry.
