Introduction

MT7855BS is a high power factor, non-isolated LED driver IC. It adopts a floating ground, high-side sensing buck switching power supply architecture to achieve full-cycle detection. The IC operates in quasi-resonant mode, improving efficiency and EMI performance. An integrated high-voltage supply circuit eliminates the need for external startup resistors and supply diodes. A built-in compensation circuit eliminates the COMP pin and external COMP capacitor. An integrated THD compensation circuit enables lower total harmonic distortion. The IC incorporates multiple protection features, including OVP, OCP, and over-temperature compensation, enhancing reliability, with all protections featuring auto-recovery. A built-in 600V high-voltage MOSFET simplifies the peripheral circuitry.
