Introduction

TD8203H is a current-mode, fixed-frequency boost converter with an integrated N-channel MOSFET for driving white LEDs. The series connection configuration ensures uniform current through each LED, achieving consistent brightness. Its low on-resistance MOSFET and low feedback voltage help minimize power dissipation for high efficiency. The fast switching frequency (typical 1.5MHz) allows the use of small-sized inductors and input/output capacitors. The overvoltage protection function monitors the output voltage via the OVP pin; if the OVP voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold, the IC switching operation is halted. The internal soft-start circuit eliminates inrush current during startup. TD8203H also integrates UVLO, over-temperature protection, and current limiting circuits to protect the IC under abnormal conditions. The device is available in a SOT-23-6 package.
