Introduction

TC5020FJ is a driver IC designed specifically for LED display panels. It integrates a CMOS shift register and latch function to convert serial input data into parallel output data format. The device supports an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and provides 16 current sources, each output stage capable of delivering a constant current of 3~36mA to drive LEDs. Within a single device, the current variation among output channels is less than ±2% @IOUT = 23.8mA; ±2.5% @IOUT = 3mA. The output current variation across multiple devices is less than ±3%. Current variation with output voltage is controlled to 0.1% per volt. The effect of supply voltage and ambient temperature variations on output current is also kept within 1%. Users can adjust the current of each output stage by selecting an external resistor of appropriate resistance, enabling precise control of LED brightness. TC5020FJ guarantees an output stage voltage rating of 11V, allowing multiple LEDs to be connected in series at each output. In addition, the device supports a high clock frequency input of 25MHz to meet system requirements for high-volume data transmission.
