Introduction

Hi5010Q is a wide dimming ratio, flicker-free LED constant current driver with a simple peripheral circuit, supporting buck, boost, and buck-boost topology applications. It is suitable for LED constant current lighting applications with an input voltage range of 6.5V~75V, featuring deep dimming capability, low dimming load regulation, and excellent consistency. The chip employs a patented algorithm to achieve high-precision constant current performance, with output current accuracy ≤±3% and load regulation <±0.5%, easily meeting the requirements of wide input/output voltage applications with flicker-free dimming throughout the full dimming range. The chip supports PWM-to-analog dimming and PWM dimming; when a deeper dimming ratio is required, combining PWM-to-analog dimming with PWM dimming can achieve a 10000:1 dimming ratio. In addition, the LD pin supports analog dimming from 0.2V~2.5V, and connecting a capacitor from the LD port to GND allows the soft-start time to be configured. The DIM, PWM, LD, and UVLO pins have built-in pull-up resistors, and the VFB pin has a built-in pull-down resistor; all can be left floating when not in use. The output current is set via the current sensing resistor between the ISENSEN and ISENSEP ports, with support for buck common-anode connection. Features include over-temperature current derating, overcurrent protection, input undervoltage protection, and output overvoltage protection.
