Introduction

The X10S is a single-channel linear LED constant-current driver with a minimal peripheral circuit, designed for LED constant-current lighting applications within a 5–46V supply range. The PWM port supports high-resolution dimming and can respond to PWM dimming signals with pulse widths as narrow as 60ns. Using a patented algorithm, it achieves 65535 (256×256) levels of high-resolution dimming. The chip operates normally when the PWM port is high, and the output is disabled when it is low. A linear constant-current control algorithm requires only two resistors and one capacitor to regulate LED current, with output current accuracy guaranteed at ≤±3%. The peripheral circuit is minimal, ensuring stable and reliable system operation. The output current is set via the REXT pin resistor, with a maximum of 500mA. The current supports PWM high-resolution dimming with a 65536:1 dimming ratio. The PWM port features a default pull-up with an internal 100μA pull-up capability. This IC is a multifunctional average-current LED constant-current driver suited for low-voltage linear constant-current LED driving applications in the 5–46V range. Employing LDO linear constant-current control, it eliminates the need for traditional switching power supply inductors and freewheeling diodes, achieves output current accuracy within ±3%, and offers a simpler, more reliable peripheral circuit.
