Introduction

AMG8805 is a high-reliability, high-performance system-level master control IC designed for 9S to 13S lithium battery packs. Based on the innovative MagicBMS system architecture, it delivers an integrated solution for BMS mainboards with high reliability, high accuracy, high voltage tolerance, low power consumption, and a small PCB footprint. The IC integrates a high-precision signal acquisition and conversion unit along with a full-function protection hardware state machine, enabling independent monitoring and protection of lithium battery packs without an external MCU. It also supports operation with an external MCU for monitoring, software protection, and fuel gauging, adding system design redundancy and further enhancing protection reliability. Its full-function protection hardware state machine and high-precision data acquisition unit significantly reduce MCU performance requirements and lower system BOM cost.
