Introduction

AMG8824A is a high-reliability, high-performance SOC-level lithium battery pack master control chip designed for 3 to 24-cell series lithium battery packs, integrating all-in-one functionality. Based on the innovative MagicBMS system architecture, this chip provides an integrated solution for lithium battery pack BMS main boards featuring high reliability, high precision, high voltage tolerance, low power consumption, and a small PCB footprint. It integrates a high-precision signal acquisition and conversion unit, a full-featured protection hardware state machine, and a high-voltage-tolerant low-power supply conversion module, enabling independent monitoring and protection of lithium battery packs without requiring an external MCU or power conversion chip. The chip can also work in conjunction with an external MCU to monitor lithium battery packs while implementing software protection and state-of-charge calculation, adding system design redundancy and further enhancing protection reliability. Its full-featured protection hardware state machine and high-precision data acquisition unit help reduce system BOM cost.
