Introduction

SM5307 is a multi-function power management SOC integrating a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery level indication, providing a complete power solution for power banks. The high integration and rich feature set of SM5307 require minimal external components, effectively reducing overall solution size and lowering BOM cost. SM5307 requires only a single inductor to achieve both buck and boost functions, supporting low-cost inductors and capacitors. SM5307's synchronous boost system delivers a maximum output current of 2.4A with conversion efficiency up to 92%. Under no-load conditions, it automatically enters sleep mode, reducing quiescent current to 10uA. SM5307 adopts switched charging technology, providing a maximum current of 2.1A with charging efficiency up to 91%. Built-in IC temperature and input voltage monitoring intelligently regulate the charging current. SM5307 supports 1, 2, 3, and 4 LED battery level display configurations. SM5307 is available in an ESOP10 package.
