Introduction

PT6303S is a battery protection IC designed specifically for 3-series lithium-ion/polymer battery packs, aimed at reducing the risk of battery damage or shortened cycle life caused by overcharge, over-discharge, and/or overcurrent conditions. It adopts a compact SOP-8 package with minimal external components, facilitating integration into space-constrained battery packs. The IC features ±25mV overcharge detection voltage accuracy to ensure safe full charging, and ±10mV discharge overcurrent detection voltage accuracy for precise overcurrent protection triggering. In addition, the low-power design of the PT6303S enables the battery pack to draw only minimal current during storage.
