Introduction

PT438 is a dedicated IC designed for single-cell lithium-ion battery-powered systems (e.g., mobile phone battery packs) to protect lithium-ion batteries from damage or reduced service life caused by overcharge, over-discharge, and/or overcurrent. The ultra-compact package and minimal external component requirements allow the PT438 to be seamlessly integrated into space-constrained battery packs. Precise overcharge protection voltage ensures safe and adequate charging. The low-power design minimizes quiescent current consumption during both battery operation and storage.
