Introduction

The PT8202 offers a highly integrated solution for lithium-ion/polymer battery protection. It incorporates internal power MOSFETs, a high-accuracy voltage detection circuit, and a delay circuit. The PT8202 provides all protection functions required for battery applications, including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and load short-circuit protection. Accurate overcharge detection voltage ensures safe charging and maximum capacity utilization. Low standby current minimizes battery drain during storage. This product is suitable not only for digital cellular phones, but also for any other information devices powered by lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries that require extended battery life.
