Introduction

A124 is an offline switching power supply control IC that integrates a high-voltage, high-power transistor internally, with a maximum output power of 24W (single-voltage AC220V input). Unlike control solutions that combine a PWM controller with external discrete power MOSFETs, the A124 integrates the PWM controller, power switch, and primary peak current sensing circuit on-chip, and employs a self-supply technology that eliminates the need for an auxiliary winding. This simplifies the peripheral application circuit, reduces component count, and significantly lowers system cost and size. It is particularly suited for cost-sensitive flyback switching power supply applications. The A124 features multiple protection functions, including VCC overvoltage protection, output overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, output open-circuit protection, and output short-circuit protection. The A124 is available in a DIP8 package.
