Introduction

PT712X is a high-efficiency, low-power flyback switching converter designed for low-power chargers and adapters. The internally integrated 800V power transistor, combined with multi-mode switching frequency and primary peak current amplitude (FM and AM) technology, ensures high efficiency across full load and line regulation range. PT712X provides precise constant voltage and constant current (CV/CC) regulation without requiring an optocoupler or secondary control circuit, eliminating the need for loop compensation components while maintaining good stability. It achieves excellent regulation and high average efficiency, meeting the no-load power consumption requirement of less than 75mW. Cable compensation in CV mode, along with line voltage compensation and load compensation in CC mode, ensures stability and high performance of the CV/CC control loop.

PT712X is a primary-side control flyback AC-DC power controller IC. Without the use of an optocoupler or TL431, it provides constant output voltage (CV) and constant output current (CC) to meet the requirements of most smartphone chargers and adapters. Multiple built-in compensation modules and protection function modules ensure system stability while delivering high operating performance.
