Introduction

AS7828SP is an IEEE 802.3af-compliant power IC integrating a PD interface circuit and DC/DC converter, designed for isolated 13W PoE applications. It provides signature resistance detection and inrush current limiting for powered devices in PoE systems, and integrates a power MOSFET with 100V breakdown voltage and 0.8Ω on-resistance, along with built-in overcurrent protection, undervoltage protection, and thermal protection. The DC/DC converter employs primary-side control in a flyback topology, featuring a precise constant-voltage control loop operating in PWM+PFM mode for high system efficiency and excellent EMI performance, with an integrated 150V power MOSFET.
