Introduction
The 74HC595D is a high-speed silicon-gate CMOS device with pin compatibility with low-power Schottky TTL. It consists of an 8-bit shift register and an 8-bit D-type latch with 3-state parallel outputs. The shift register accepts serial data and provides serial or parallel output. It also supplies parallel data to the 8-bit latch. The shift register and latch have independent CLK inputs. The device also features an asynchronous reset for the shift register.
