Introduction

• The 'HC688 and 'HCT688 are 8-bit magnitude comparators designed for computer and logic applications requiring comparison of two 8-bit binary words. The output (Y) is active LOW when the compared words are equal, and can be used as an enable input to the next device in cascaded applications.
