Introduction

THCV241A-P is designed to support the transmission of 4K60fps RAW10 8-megapixel uncompressed video data between a camera and a processor over long-distance 100Ω differential shielded twisted pair or 50Ω single-ended coaxial cable via V-by-One® HS technology, with support for multiple inline connectors. The device supports the MIPI CSI-2 interface with a maximum data rate of 1.5Gbps per CSI-2 data lane. Virtual channel functionality is supported. A single high-speed V-by-One® HS lane supports up to 1080p60fps video transmission at a maximum serial data rate of 4Gbps/lane. A second output lane supports high-dynamic-range high-volume data transmission or data replication and distribution. The THCV241A-P enables control and monitoring of camera modules from a remote ECU via GPIO, UART, or a 1Mbps two-wire serial interface. It incorporates multiple fault and error detection functions, including CRC, to support hardware functional safety design.
