Introduction

The RSM232D is a high-speed, dual-channel isolated RS-232 transceiver designed for bidirectional data communication, supporting baud rates up to 235kbps. With an integrated isolated DC/DC converter, it operates from a single supply to provide electrical isolation between the controller and the RS-232 transceiver, achieving isolation voltages up to 2500VDC — no external isolated power supply required. The product is widely used in industrial communication, coal mining, power monitoring, petrochemical, building automation, and PLC-to-inverter communication applications. Operating temperature range is -40℃ to +85℃, with up to 15kV ESD protection on the bus. Input voltage range is 3.15V to 5.25V, with no isolated output power pins, suitable for point-to-point communication with extremely low EMI.
