Introduction
CS4585 is a high-speed half-duplex transceiver for RS-485/RS-422 communication, integrating one driver and one receiver. It features a failsafe circuit and a slew-rate-limited driver that reduces EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 500kbps. It provides +15kV ESD protection. In addition, the receiver features 1/8 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus.
