Introduction

The RTL8211F(I) series is a single-chip, low-power, high-performance 10BASE-Te/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet transceiver that integrates all necessary physical layer functions to provide complete 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connectivity over standard CAT-5 unshielded twisted-pair cable. The transceiver supports the IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet standard, significantly reducing power consumption through low-power idle and burst modes. It supports auto-negotiation for automatic selection of the highest-performance link mode, along with crossover detection and auto-correction. The device also supports remote wake-up via Magic Packet and Wake-on-LAN frames. Its management interface is compliant with the IEEE 802.3 standard. The transceiver is fabricated using advanced CMOS process technology and is available in a 48-pin QFN green package.
