Introduction

SIG7798/7799 are low-noise, low-drift, high-resolution 16/24-bit ADCs with an integrated PGA, providing high-accuracy measurement solutions for bridge sensors, thermocouples, and RTDs. The devices include a low-noise PGA with selectable gains of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128, a Δ-Σ modulator, and a digital filter. The output data rate is configurable from 4.17SPS to 890SPS. Simultaneous 50Hz/60Hz rejection is also available. Burnout current sources are provided at the analog inputs for sensor connection diagnostics. Offset and gain calibration registers allow ADC error or system-level error correction via calibration commands or direct register writes. Device configuration is performed through an SPI-compatible interface. The SIG7798/7799 are available in a 16-pin TSSOP package and are fully specified for operation over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
