Introduction

HX720 is a 24-bit A/D converter IC designed for high-precision electronic scales. The built-in low-noise voltage regulator with 3.3V output can directly drive sensors, ADC, MCU, and displays (7-segment or LCD), with a current drive capability exceeding 60mA. No additional voltage regulators are required on the electronic scale mainboard, improving overall performance and reliability while reducing the total cost of the electronic scale.

The gain of the input low-noise amplifier is 128. When using the built-in voltage regulator, the corresponding full-scale differential input signal amplitude is ±13mV. The on-chip clock oscillator requires no external components. The on-chip battery voltage measurement channel can directly detect the voltage difference of (VBAT-VOUT), enabling direct battery voltage detection. All control signals are pin-driven, requiring no programming of internal registers. The MCU requires only 2 I/O pins to implement full ADC control, including power-down control. The power-on auto-reset function simplifies the initialization process at startup.
