Introduction

The SEM206TH is a head-mount transmitter that accepts thermistor temperature sensors and converts the sensor output within the configured range to a standard industrial 4 to 20mA transmission signal. The output signal is linear with temperature. Multiple thermistor types are selectable using the USBSpeedLink configuration software. Custom thermistors are also supported.

In addition to PC-based configuration, simple push-button operation allows users to manually select the desired temperature range by simulating thermistor temperatures using a resistance box, or by setting the thermistor sensor to the desired calibration point and pressing the button to store the 4mA and 20mA points.

• Sensor Calibration: Via Windows-based USBSpeedlink software, the sensor calibration function enables close matching to a known reference sensor, eliminating potential sensor errors.
• Sensor Burnout Detection: If a sensor wire breaks or becomes disconnected, the transmitter output automatically jumps to a user-defined high or low level, with the LED indicator illuminated.
• Stability: Advanced digital technology ensures accurate, low-drift performance.
• PC/Button Configuration: PC configuration requires USBSpeedLink software and a USB configuration kit. The software allows operators to select from multiple thermistor types and set the desired temperature range for the 4 to 20 mA output. A single button and LED indicator allow users to configure the transmitter span based on manually set input conditions.
