Introduction

This infrared LED/phototransistor pair is ideal for precisely detecting reflectance variations (e.g., line detection). It operates over a supply voltage range of 2.9V to 5.5V and provides adjustable brightness control independent of supply voltage. In general, the closer the object, the higher the contrast between light and dark readings; however, highly reflective objects can typically be detected at distances of up to approximately 30 mm. This version uses the classic lensless QTR sensor design.
