Introduction

The double pulse test is a useful tool for evaluating the dynamic performance of Wolfspeed power modules. However, extracting useful and accurate results requires careful attention to layout and measurements. This document provides guidelines for properly operating the Wolfspeed CIL evaluation kit to accurately characterize the dynamic performance of power modules. This document is written as a user guide for installing and operating Wolfspeed evaluation hardware. The prototype (a fragile, high-voltage, high-temperature power electronics system) is designed by Wolfspeed for evaluating its power semiconductor products, and is intended to be used as an evaluation tool in a laboratory environment by qualified technicians or engineers. When not in use, the prototype should be stored in an environment with a temperature range of -40℃ to 105℃; special care should be taken during transportation to avoid damage to fragile components such as PCBs — the unit should be transported in anti-static packaging bags to prevent damage to electronic components. The prototype does not contain any hazardous substances; however, it is not designed to comply with any industrial, technical, or safety standards or classifications, nor is it a production-ready component.
