Introduction

MP206 is a dual-channel high output power amplifier designed to drive capacitive loads, such as piezoelectric devices used in inkjet printing applications. The amplifier offers flexibility in output drive, capable of delivering positive or negative pulses to a varying number of piezoelectric nozzles. MP206 is built on a thermally conductive but electrically isolated substrate, providing high power in a very compact module. The amplifier gain is fixed at approximately 19.85 V/V in non-inverting mode (−15.7 V/V in inverting mode). It is optimized for an output voltage swing of 0 to 40V (or −40 to 0V). A combination of internal and external compensation allows the MP206 to be customized for any of the above printhead configurations, providing slew rate control and ensuring stability. Auxiliary voltages (+V_B and −V_B) at the amplifier stage are used to reduce power dissipation in the output driver.
