Introduction

This device is designed for applications requiring low self-noise (high SNR), wide dynamic range, low distortion, and a high acoustic overload point. Its low cutoff frequency makes it an ideal choice for active noise cancellation applications. Infineon's MEMS technology, based on miniature microphone design, achieves high linearity of the output signal over a high dynamic range. With its low equivalent noise floor, this microphone is no longer the limiting factor in the audio signal chain, and enables higher performance of voice recognition algorithms. The analog microphone ASIC incorporates an ultra-low-noise preamplifier. Tight manufacturing tolerances, combined with advanced Infineon calibration algorithms applied to every individual device, achieve minimal sensitivity and phase matching tolerances. This makes it well suited for beamforming arrays and multi-microphone applications.
