Introduction

This specification covers inverted through-board platforms for card-edge and plug-in applications. In both cases, power can be transmitted through these connector series via PCB to LEDs on the PC board. The card-edge version allows the LED driver PC board to mate perpendicularly with the LED PC board. The plug-in version allows discrete wires from 26 AWG to 18 AWG to be inserted into the bottom of the connector. The low-profile flat-top design minimizes interference with adjacent LED light cones and provides a convenient pick-up location for automated pick-and-place machines. These connectors share a common PCB pad layout and are packaged in tape-and-reel format per EIA-481 standard.
