Introduction

The Dynamic Series connectors offer gold and tin contacts, with an adjustable auxiliary spring gap for optimal contact pressure; gold-plated products are available with high-pressure and standard-pressure contact options. An anti-overstress design prevents damage to the primary beam caused by foreign object insertion or twisting. Male terminals are tab contacts and female terminals are socket contacts, utilizing a reliable three-point contact design. Contacts are secured by housing latches, with a distinct audible "click" during insertion or extraction for easy operation confirmation. Vertical plugs feature polarization markings, and housing corners are rounded to prevent hand injuries during mating and unmating. A full-cover design protects tin-plated contacts. To accommodate automated SMT assembly, both vertical and horizontal plugs include reinforced mounting feet. The receptacle housing bottom mount resists cable-induced wobble. Both plug and receptacle housings feature multiple ribs to prevent vibration and wobble. Select products include anti-mismating features that use keying to prevent incorrect insertion. Tape labels can be applied to the sides of the housing; both plug and receptacle housings include circuit identification markings to facilitate cable termination. Plating selection depends on factors such as voltage, current, and environment. Gold plating is recommended for applications below 3V and 1A; tin plating is acceptable when voltage exceeds 30V and current exceeds 10A; borderline cases require evaluation of environmental parameters.
