Introduction

All Larsen NMOHF (high frequency 27 MHz to 6 GHz) mounts can be converted between low frequency and high frequency applications by pulling out or replacing the center pin and insulator. NMOHF mounts require a 3/4-inch hole for installation and come with 17 feet of coaxial cable. NMOHF mounts are suitable for roof surfaces with thickness from 0.1 inches to 0.03 inches, while NMOHFTHK (thick) mounts are suitable for roof surfaces up to 1/2 inch thick. If the antenna has a "blade" or "pin" type connector, use the NMOHF mount in low frequency configuration, keeping the center pin and insulator in the factory-installed state. If the antenna has a "high frequency" (HF) connector, use the NMOHF mount in high frequency configuration with the center pin and insulator removed. NMO 3/4-inch standard mounts require a 3/4-inch hole for installation and come with 17 feet of coaxial cable.

NMOHFGPS mount specifications: Frequency 1575.4 - 1576.4 MHz, gain 5 dBic, polarization RHCP/vertical, LNA gain 26 dB ± 2 dB, cable 16.4 ft RG-174 (GPS) and 16.4 ft RG-58 (NMOHF), VSWR less than 2:1, dimensions 0.5×2×4.5, voltage 3 or 5 V DC, color black, mounting hole 5/8-inch.

RG-174 is the industry standard for applications requiring small-diameter, high-flexibility coaxial cable. Commonly used in mobile magnetic mount applications, it exhibits higher loss at high frequencies, good performance against environmental variations, but lower overall durability.

Polyethylene (solid and foam) is suitable for mobile/portable applications below 900 MHz requiring flexibility and small diameter.
