The P4SMA series is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients caused by lightning strikes and other transient voltage events.

• 400W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000μs waveform, repetition rate (duty cycle) of 0.01%
• SMD low-profile surface mount package, minimizing PCB footprint
• Typical failure mode is short circuit due to overvoltage or overcurrent
• Whisker testing per Table 4a and 4c of JEDEC JESD201A, passing Level 1 and Level 2
• IEC 61000-4-2 ESD: 30kV (air), 30kV (contact)
• Glass passivated chip junction
• Low dynamic resistance
• VBR@TJ = VBR@25°C × (1 + G̅T̅ × (T̅J̅ - 25)) (αT: temperature coefficient, typical value 0.1%)
• UL94 V-0 flammability rated approved compound
• Halogen-free and RoHS compliant
• Lead-free E3: second-level interconnect lead-free, terminal finish material tin (Sn) (per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609A.01)
• Recognized by UL 497B as isolated loop circuit protector
• Products manufactured outside China available (parts with E suffix)
