Introduction

The SM8S series TVS diodes feature an SMTO-263 package with modified leads. They protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transient events caused by lightning strikes and inductive load switching.

• IEC 61000-4-2 ESD 30kV (air), 30kV (contact)
• Glass passivated chip junction
• Low dynamic resistance
• VBR@TJ = VBR@25°C×(1 + αT×(T - 25)) (αT: temperature coefficient, typical value 0.1%)
• UL recognized compound, meeting V-0 flammability rating
• Halogen-free and RoHS compliant
• Lead-free E3 indicates second-level interconnect lead-free, terminal plating material is tin (Sn) (IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609A.01)
• Recognized by UL 497B as an isolated loop circuit protector

Applications
